Lord Shiva With 26 Faces and 52 Hands in Thanumalayan Temple

The Thanumalayan Temple is of importance to both Shaivaite and Vaishnavite sects of Hinduism. Hindus consider visiting the temples and offering worship to deities as an important part of their routine life. The current temple was built in the 17th century and is famous for its sculptures. It was previously controlled by the Nambudiris, one of the main Namboodiri families called the Thekkumon Madam. Birla Temple in Hyderabad

The temple was constructed by Birla Foundation, which has also constructed several similar temples across India, all of which are known as Birla Mandir. It is constructed of 2000 tons of pure white marble.
